Austin Sports Commission: Account Director
The Austin Sports Commission is seeking an experienced Account Director to promote Austin as a premiere sports event and competition destination.
This motivated sales professional will be responsible for numerous tasks including: prospecting for new business through telephone solicitation, networking through local and national organizations, as well as regularly scheduling outside sales calls and client development.
Minimum requirements include: 3 years sales experience; citywide bids/presentations; strong prospecting skills; ability to manage logistics of special events; excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, as well as a good working knowledge of computers and databases. Must be team-oriented and comfortable multi-tasking in a fast paced environment. Experience in operations of sporting events preferred.
