Right before the fun of South by Southwest, the 2^nd Street District and Austin Monthly give Austinites and visitors alike an opportunity to catch some great local musicians during 2nd Street Soundcheck.

2nd Street Soundcheck, Saturday, February 28, is a FREE afternoon of music from 1-8 p.m. Two stages house the music with acts that includes Magna Carda, to T Bird and the Breaks and Ben Kweller. This is a great opportunity for families and friends to gather round, experience the charm, food, shopping, and of course music, of the 2^nd Street District.

The festival marks its fourth year and benefits the Austin Music Foundation. To heighten your experience, VIP passes are available on the Austin Music Foundation website. Limited paid parking is available at the AMLI Downtown Garage accessible through Lavaca between 2nd & 3rd Street. Valet is also available at Lavaca & Cesar Chavez, Colorado & 3rd and Guadalupe and 2nd Street. Avoid the hassle of parking and take CapMetro or ride your bike.
