Travel and tourism professionals work throughout the week to promote the impactful contributions their travel organizations make to the U.S. and local economies. Since its usually sunny, spending the day outdoors, lunching or cocktails Al fresco and shopping at The Domain or on South Congress. What is your favorite Austin live music venue? This is a hard one to answer! I really like going to the Continental Club, but have also heard some really great performances at ACL Live at the Moody Theater.   Jennifer_WalkerJennifer Walker, Director of Marketing Communications Travel is restorative. Favorite thing about working in the tourism industry? The visitor experience. Getting to see or hear peoples reactions when they discover something new about your destination. Describe your perfect day off in Austin. Anything outdoors. Hitting up the Lady Bird Lake Hike & Bike Trail, Lady Bird Lake for stand up paddle boarding or canoeing, hiking in the Greenbelt or a trip to the leash free dog park with my pups. What is your favorite Austin live music venue? Continental Club. Classic, intimate and a slice of Texas hospitality. Describe your perfect day off in Austin.Taking my kids to one of the nearby parks and then to lunch from one of our favorite food trucks (my kids both love Torchy's.) In the summer, we head to Deep Eddy Pool or Barton Springs Pool to cool off! What is your favorite live music venue? Zilker Park. After a hike on the Barton Creek Greenbelt trail, grab tacos and coffee at nearby Tacodeli. An early afternoon matinee at Alamo Drafthouse is a must, followed by restaurant and patio hopping on the east side of town. What is your favorite Austin live music venue? A morning run on the hike and bike trail, followed by a refreshing dip in Barton Springs pool, lunch at Torchy's Tacos, an afternoon at the Blanton or Harry Ransom Center, an early evening movie at Alamo Drafthouse and late night jazz at Elephant Room. Grab a breakfast taco from Tacodeli. Walk downtown, then kayak on Lady Bird Lake with friends. Cool off at Barton Springs Pool, and grab an icy snack from Sno-Beach. Fill up on a fried avocado from Trudys and finish off with their Mexican Martini. End the evening on East Sixth Street at The Liberty, enjoying the twinkly lights on an open back-porch, with a guitarist strumming in the background. What is your favorite Austin live music venue? My perfect day off in Austin would involve having brunch at one of our amazing restaurants, taking the dogs on a hike on the green belt,napping in a hammock in the park and dinner with margaritas on apatio. What is your favorite Austin live music venue? 888 Pan Asian Restaurant because its completely unexpected, the music is fun and the food is always great!
