Looking for fall weekend plans? The weather is cooling down and the sun will be shining, so there's no better way to spend your weekend than at the Texas Craft Brewers Festival.
The event will be held at Fiesta Gardens on the east side of Interstate 35, next to Lady Bird Lake this Saturday September 19, 2015. Since 2003, the Texas Craft Brewers Festival has been the spot to taste first-hand the changing beer community. With more than 65 brewers and 150 beers all brewed here in Texas, you won't be bored. Lots of food options will be at the fest to compliment your favorite beer. Whole Foods will be hosting educational sessions on beer and cheese and Independence Brewing will be pairing two of their popular beers with savory snacks. General admission ticket holders get in at 2 p.m. and VIP tickets get an early admission at 11:30 a.m. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at texascraftbrewersfestival.org.
Grab your tickets quickly as VIP admission is already sold out and advance general admission sold out last year. Taking one for the team and playing the role of designated driver? No problem at all, the festival is offering a $10 ticket to include non-alcoholic beverages and snacks throughout the day. Uber's Safe Ride Program has partnered up with the fest to offer a free first ride with the code TCBF15. Public transportation, such as CapMetro, is recommended as parking will be limited in the area. Once the festival commences, you are walking distance from East Caesar Chavez hip restaurants, bars and shops. Cheers!
