Raised on a farm on the coast of Washington state, Daisy saved money to buy her first guitar by selling sheep. That's right -- selling sheep. She taught herself how to play in her unheated attic bedroom. “I’ve been writing since I learned how," she says, "and the written word has always been my most loyal companion.

Prompted by the practical nature of her blue collar family, Daisy set aside music to study law, politics, and minority rights, which lead to a 5 year career in social work with rural women and children impacted by domestic violence. “I had the unique privilege of working with thousands of women on the run from love gone wrong. Social work really transformed me, and my writing. But I had to get out. So I drove thousands of miles from my hometown to live in Austin, TX and focus completely on music."

Daisy's debut EP- "Do Be Do" features a co-write with legendary songwriter Steve Poltz, and paints a landscape of rural America (and not some hazy romanticized version created by a suburban kid.) A reliable and quirky narrator, Daisy's unique style and fresh voice position her as a force to be reckoned with in modern folk music.
