We open our 2016/17 season on the eve of Ballet Austin’s first-ever tour of the People’s Republic of China. Before we hit the road, you’ll get a preview of popular dance works Artistic Director Stephen Mills will share with Asian audiences later this year. Savor three, one-act ballets, including Mills’ Wolftantz and Liminal Glam, set to music by prolific composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Philip Glass. And relish another performance first, as Mills brings esteemed American choreographer Lar Lubovich and his melodic Dvořák Serenade to Austin, featuring the music of Antonín Dvořák and live accompaniment by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Be first to see this celebration of contemporary ballet while participating in a sensational send-off for our artists.
