Austin CVB Launches The Austin iTinerary Mobile Application
The Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau (Austin CVB) has launched a new mobile application that serves as an interactive site itinerary and destination management tool for meeting planners, event attendees and clients considering Austin as a meeting or event destination. Aptly named The Austin iTinerary, the application invites users to download their site visit or group schedule, track appointments, get in touch with venue contacts, view maps, and add comments to each item for future reference. USA Volleyball Scores for Austin
The Austin Sports Commission, a division of the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau, announced today that USA Volleyball has selected Austin to host its signature annual boys’ youth national championship event, the USA Junior Olympic Boys’ Volleyball Championships, at the Austin Convention Center from June 30-July 7, 2010. Austin Hosts Tradeshow for International SPA Association
Unwind. Renew. Simplify. Making its way to the Live Music Capital of the World® is the International SPA Association’s 19th annual ISPA Conference & Expo, Oct. 5 – 8. The Hilton Austin and Austin Convention Center play host to the 1,800 leading spa professionals, projected to leave behind $1.7 million in estimated visitor spending. (more)

Indie band Spoon visits the Live Music Capital of the World® July 9-11, performing three shows at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q, each with a different opening act. Innovations in Interactive Design Highlight HOW Design Conference Sessions, Retail Show and Events Open to Public, June 24-27
Continually ranked among the top U.S. cities for technology, business and creative innovation, Austin is about to welcome another big name in independent and interactive design. The HOW Design Conference, sponsored by HOW Magazine, the creative and business resource for graphic designers, takes place in Austin from June 24-27 at the Austin Convention Center. Recognizing Austin’s reputation as a creative and technology hub, organizers have opened the conference to local residents on a “pay as you go” basis. (more)
Austin CVB Joins Forces with ARES Travel Network
The Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau is partnering with Advanced Reservation Systems, Inc. (ARES), a travel booking and packaging program that offers a one-stop shopping experience for travelers. A number of convention and visitors bureaus, including San Diego, Phoenix and Baltimore, are turning to ARES and thus benefiting travel decision makers. The new feature on AustinTexas.org allows visitors to plan and book a trip all in one place, from the hotel to the airfare and car rental, making the reservation process more convenient. (more)
Republic of Texas Biker Rally Rumbles Back to Austin
Austin’s live music scene competes for decibels this weekend as more than 40,000 bikers rev their engines for the 15th annual Republic of Texas (ROT) Biker Rally, June 11-14. Four days of rides, parades, exhibits and big-name concerts take place at the Travis County Exposition Center and throughout downtown. The ROT Rally has grown into the most popular motorcycle event in Texas and one of the largest in the country. Attendees are expected to leave behind $36 million in estimated visitor spending. (more)

AustinTexas.org, the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau’s official destination website, has been nominated for a 2009 Webby Award, in the Tourism category. Web users across the globe can vote for AustinTexas.org to receive a People’s Voice Webby at http://pv.webbyawards.com/*. Voting takes place through April 30; winners will be announced on May 5.
