Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

Recently named "Best Domestic Airport" in the U.S.*, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) makes it easy to get to and from Austin by air. All major American airlines serve ABIA, with more than 270 commercial passenger flights per day, more than 40 nonstop destinations and 82 direct (same plane) destinations.

But the millions of passengers who travel in and out of ABIA each year have a unique story to tell — because Austin's airport is as full of character as Austin itself. ABIA represents the first conversion of a U.S. Air Force Base to commercial airport since the end of the Cold War. The Barbara Jordan Terminal is named for our legendary and beloved U.S. Congresswoman, orator and civil rights leader. And everywhere you turn, Austin is there to greet you. Native and xeriscape-style plants bring color and movement to the grounds. Nine major works of original art grace the walls. Many of the restaurants and gift shops are run by old Austin favorites. And right in the middle of it all, a live music stage with local performers provides a warm welcome and a happy send-off.
