The Austin hospitality and tourism industry has pulled together to assist in relief efforts for hurricane victims by holding benefits, collecting donations and offering free admissions to evacuees. Free admission to the refugees during September. Families visiting the museum who evacuated because of the hurricane can simply say, “I’m a Gulf Coast Friend” or show a Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama ID to gain free admittance.

Austin Concierge Association Hurricane Relief Fund
Accepting donations to benefit hospitality industry professionals in the New Orleans area. This fund is designed to help cover their hotel bills and travel expenses to assist evacuees in rebuilding their lives. Funds are to be distributed through the New Orleans Concierge Association.
