New Hotels Open Downtown
The new Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott Austin Downtown/Convention Center open for business later this month. The new properties add a total of 449 guest rooms and 6,600 square feet of event and meeting space to the downtown hotel package. Among the shared amenities are a heated indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center, rooftop terrace, Champions Restaurant & Sports Bar and Starbucks. The hotel is owned and operated by White Lodging Services.
"Austin offers a great mix of hotel properties in the downtown area, and that choice is expanding even more. We welcome the addition of this unique concept, which brings two Marriott brands together, side by side and next door to the Convention Center," remarks Austin CVB President and CEO Bob Lander.
While guests start arriving in August, the properties celebrate a grand opening September 21. For advance details or group sales information, contact the pre-opening office by calling (512) 236-8008 or visit www.marriott.com/AUSCD or www.marriott.com/AUSRD.
