Austin Tours Like a Rock Star
Austin CVB staff members head to Chicago this weekend for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) 2007 Annual Meeting & Exposition. The conference features more than 200 exhibitors showcasing meetings destinations, facilities and services to some 3,000 meeting planners and executives. Joining Austin CVB at the tradeshow are The Driskill, Hilton Austin, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Lost Pines Resort & Spa, Marriott Courtyard Downtown/Residence Inn, Renaissance Austin, Radisson Hotel & Suites and Austin Convention Center. The Marshall Ford Swing Band also performs in the tradeshow booth.
In addition to exhibiting at the tradeshow, Austin CVB teams up with Gibson Guitars to draw attention on Austin in Chicago. Select clients are invited to climb aboard the Gibson tour bus, which is outfitted with a mini-recording studio, and to enjoy a taste of Austin as they travel in the style of a rock star from their hotels to the tradeshow.
