CVB Exhibits at Home and Abroad
Austin CVB exhibited at Southwest Showcase last week at the Austin Convention Center. The Bureau provided live music and destination information in a tradeshow booth, as well as sponsoring a client reception. The conference is the largest gathering of association, meeting and exhibition professionals in the Southwest.
Austin CVB, The Driskill Hotel, Hilton Austin and Hyatt Regency Austin team up to attend the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) tradeshow in San Francisco, Feb. 20-23. The west coast markets are often a lucrative source of corporate meetings, as both regions are home to high-tech industry. While in the Bay area, the Austin CVB and hotel partners also team up for a sales mission in feeder markets such as San Jose and Berkeley.
The Bureau's Tourism department also attends Expo Vacaciones in Mexico City, Feb. 13-15. The tradeshow attracts travel trade and media representatives from Mexico. Austin CVB partners with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and the Radisson Austin to showcase the city as a premier Texas travel destination.
