Austin CVB Receives Destination Marketing Accreditation

Austin CVB has been awarded accreditation from the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP), an international certification program developed by the Washington, DC based Destination Marketing Association International. In earning accreditation, Austin CVB has attained a significant standard of excellence - fewer than 40 bureaus in the nation have received accreditation.

"We are honored to receive the DMAP accreditation," said Bob Lander, President and CEO of Austin CVB. "It signals to meeting planners and visitors that the Bureau has exceeded industry standards, assuring that their trust is well placed and their business is in good hands."

DMAP accreditation standards cover a wide variety of topics including governance, finance, management, human resources, technology, visitor services, group services, sales, communications, membership, brand management, destination development, research/market intelligence, innovation and stakeholder relationships.
