NAMM Returns Summer Session to Austin

The International Music Products Association (NAMM) returns its summer conference and trade show to the Austin Convention Center, July 27-29, 2007. NAMM met for the first time in Austin this past July with some 20,000 attendees and an estimated $20 million impact on the Austin economy.

"The Live Music Capital of the World™ delivered on its reputation and took good care of our industry this year," says Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. "The dealers who came to Austin took advantage of new products and deals from the exhibitors, networked with their peers and suppliers, and broke all NAMM attendance records."

NAMM represents one of the city's biggest conventions and is particularly significant since it meets in July when convention business across the country traditionally slows down.

Much of the decision to return the three-day show to Austin next summer was based on favorable feedback from attendees and the warm welcome that the organization received from the local community.
