Top Billing for Austin City Limits―Paste magazine's "The Best 24 Hours on Television" issue names Austin City Limits as "the best place for music on television." Austin City Limits is the only music show featured in the list. "For those first 25 years, Austin City Limits was the showcase for the best in live roots-rock, country, blues and Americana. Now - with the more open-minded approach of the last several years and coming 32nd season - it's simply the best place on TV for live music, period," the magazine asserts.
Austin City Limits was also included at number 44 in the Paste reader's poll of the top 50 television shows. The series' 32nd season begins with a rare television appearance by one of the leaders of the British invasion and former Kinks frontman Ray Davies on Saturday, October 7, on KLRU.
