Jerry Bywaters: Lone Star Printmaker

The printmaking works of Jerry Bywaters, who painted the well-known piece Oil Field Girls, are being brought to the Blanton Museum of Art. The exhibition showcases 39 prints that center around all things Texas. Also come out to the book-signing event that will host authors Sam Ratcliffe and Ellen Buie Niewyk and their contributions to Jerry Bywaters, Interpreter of the Southwest (Joe and Betty Moore Texas Art Series) and Jerry Bywaters, Lone Star Printmaker: A Study of His Print Notebook, With a Catalogue of His Prints and a Checklist of His Illustrations and Ephemeral Works. This event is open to the public and will be hosted at the Museum Shop in the Smith Building on July 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
