InterContinental Stephen F. Austin

The InterContinental Stephen F. Austin, named after the “father of Texas,” was originally built in 1924 as Austin’s first high-rise hotel on Congress Avenue. After a two-year, multi-million dollar renovation restored this crown jewel of Austin to its former glory, the “Stephen F.” (as it is known to locals) re-opened in May 2000. This historic, landmark hotel located in Austin's central business district is near the State Capitol, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Sixth Street/Warehouse Entertainment Districts.
