There isn’t much that compares to the heart-pounding thrill of professional bull riding (PBR). Those intense eight seconds where the world's best riders wrestle to stay atop bulls bred to buck. PBR Teams events crank up that excitement, turning every ride into a battle for glory as teams clash on the path to the annual Championship. The lights, music, and adrenaline blend with the grit and skill of the riders, making PBR a spectacle like no other.

About the Gamblers

PBR was born in 1992 when 20 cowboys split from the rodeo, each throwing in $1,000 to forge a sport solely for bull riding. Among them was Michael Gaffney, 1997 PBR World Champion, now the Head Coach of the Austin Gamblers, the pride of the Capital City.

In 2022, PBR kicked off a new league to join the individual contests – PBR Teams. The league, which expanded to ten teams in 2024, runs a 12-event regular season leading up to the October Championship in Las Vegas. Each team hosts a three-day weekend homestand and competes in two neutral-site events. The traditional 8-second rides are now set in a tournament format with teams facing off in daily head-to-head matchups.

Austin Gambler Days

The Austin Gamblers, the two-time PBR Teams Regular Season Champions, will host their third annual homestand and fifth event of the 2024 season, PBR Gambler Days presented by Tecovas, on August 23-25, 2024 at Moody Center.

In 2023, the Gamblers started the season white-hot, going 12-1 in their initial games, including a perfect 7-0 record, and two event wins to kick off the season. They became the first team to win four events, dominating in Cheyenne, Anaheim, Greensboro, and finally winning their homestand in Austin with a flawless 3-0 effort. This marked the first time in 2023 that a team won a Camping World Team Series stop outright, not requiring Extra Outs.

As we head into the 2024 season, fans can catch their favorite riders including PBR World Finals winner Jose Vitor Leme, star of the Prime Video docuseries “The Ride,” Ezekiel “Blue” Mitchell, Dalton “Mr. 90-point.” Kasel, and more. Gamblers fans will also be able to cheer for new additions Kaique Pacheco, Callum Miller, Paulo Henrique Da Silva, and Trevor Kastner, who join the Austin Gamblers 2024 roster.
