Distilleries

As you can imagine, Austin-area distilleries have gotten as creative with their offerings during social distancing as they are with their approach to distilling. From making hand sanitizer for healthcare workers and the community to special fundraising releases, there are many ways to get involved with your local spirit-makers.

Desert Door Distillery
The tasting room is now open for limited hours on Wednesday-Saturday for drive-up pick-up. Customers can purchase bottles of Desert Door Original Texas Sotol for $39.99/ea, Desert Door Oak-Aged Texas Sotol for $49.99/ea and DIY Ranch Water Kits for $14/ea (includes six Topo Chicos, six koozies, a branded blue enamel bucket with bottle opener and a lime). Garrison Brothers
Garrison Brothers Distillery has launched a fundraising campaign to help American communities recover and rebuild from the devastating impacts of COVID-19. Dubbed OPERATION CRUSH COVID-19, the initiative aims to raise more than $2 million for Team Rubicon, which is leading efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Still Austin
Still Austin Whiskey Co. is making their hand sanitizer available to local Austinites for free at its Tasting Room in South Austin (440 E. St. Elmo Rd.). Still Austin has also been providing hand sanitizer to local first responders, hospitals and more. The tasting room is also open for bottle and merchandise purchases, plus mixers to go. Treaty Oak Whiskey and Waterloo Gin are offering online spirits ordering and delivery. Purchase Treaty Oak Whiskey and Waterloo Gin online. They are also providing order-ahead grocery services to the local community via the Toast Takeout App. Shipping is available to all U.S. states except Alaska, Alabama, Idaho, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Dakota and Utah. Beginning on May 1, any bottle of Treaty Oak Whiskey or Waterloo Gin purchased at participating Texas retailers will trigger a $1 donation from Treaty Oak Distilling to Southern Smoke Foundation’s Emergency Relief Fund, which supports bar/restaurant staff affected by the current pandemic.
