Join the Austin Urban Music Festival in celebrating its ten year anniversary, March 27-28, 2015 at Auditorium Shores. Celebrate this year's local urban music scene, aimed at enhancing and sustaining the SoulTree Collective experience musically, culturally and economically.
This year's theme The Music Speaks portrays music as a universal language. More than 15,000 music revelers annually converge to enjoy Austin's only music festival focused on R&B and neo-soul music. This year's lineup features headliners from jazz pianist Robert Glasper on Friday, and Blackstreet, one of the top R&B vocal groups of the 1990s, on Saturday. This year's Friday lineup also includes performances by Lalah Hathaway, Musiq Soulchild, Sebastian Mikael and Jackie Venson. Saturday's lineup includes performances by Eric Benet, Doug E. Fresh, Calvin Richardson, and the 2015 Soul Tree Collective band Power of Soul.
Tickets are available at select ticket outlets or on the AUMFs website. Single-day tickets are $36.99 and two-day passes are $65.99. Children tickets are sold at the gate only and are $6 for children, ages 6-12, and children under the age of 6 get in free. The festival also includes local food and retail vendors and a Fun Zone that is great for families. For more festival details, visit the Austin Urban Music Festival at urbanmusicfest.com.
