    About

Known as Austin’s homegrown holiday tradition for nearly five decades, the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar announces it will be back inside for the first time since 2019 at the Palmer Events Center (900 Barton Springs Road, Austin, Texas 78704) with some exciting new changes for this year’s show. Austin's highly beloved art and music festival will take place Dec. 17 - 23 from 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. daily. In addition to featuring the most new artists the event has ever had, the event will now be seven days and closed on Christmas Eve. This year’s event will include a new layout with a central music stage that can be enjoyed from many angles of the room, allowing art lovers and music fans to shop and dance while sipping on a cocktail from the full bar. Another new feature includes the addition of Hello Trouble Hall (https://www.instagram.com/hellotroublehall/?hl=en), a mobile honky tonk that will be an onsite social gathering spot. Shoppers will now also have the opportunity to purchase merchandise online for the first time at the Armadillo Store and can start snatching up their favorite pieces HERE (https://armadillo-christmas-bazaar.square.site). Tickets and this year’s music lineup will be available and announced on Oct. 24, 2022. This year’s event will offer a cashless box office. Patrons can save time by buying in advance or with credit card payment options onsite. More information about the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar can be found at ArmadilloBazaar.com.

With roots in Austin’s legendary Armadillo World Headquarters, the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar is one of Austin's longest-running art and music festivals. From its beginning at the Armadillo World Headquarters to its current 44,000 square feet, the event features a stunning display of temporary galleries and shops, full bars, photo ops, local food from Southside Flying Pizza and an intimate stage you can see and hear all over the show. The Armadillo is the home to the National String Off Competition every year, doing our best to keep Austin weird.

Patrons will have the opportunity to learn about artists and their work, make a personal connection with the art and support the artist community. A full list of this year’s artists can be found online at the Artist Gallery here (https://armadillobazaar.com/2022artists/).
