We've heard your requests, and with you in mind, we selected the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center to truly experience an outdoor, day-long, smooth jazz event like no other! With the breathtaking Austin skyline serving as a backdrop, you'll be able to kick off your Thanksgiving weekend with entertainment from top-tier jazz musicians, be wowed by visual art from incredibly talented artists, and have an extraordinary VIP wine tasting experience.
This year's lineup will satisfy even the most sophisticated musical palette. AAJF proudly presents:
Violinist extraordinaire, Damien Escobar, is a two-time Emmy Award winner, and has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award.
Vocalist Chantè Moore has been nominated for Grammy and MCP Music Awards. She has also won the NAACP Image Award, Soul Train Award, UB Honors, and American Music Award.
Iconic saxophonist and 8x Grammy-nominated artist, Gerald Albright will be hitting the stage with the incredible sound that has influenced generations.
Jeff Lorber Fusion
Jeff Lorber Fusion brings the unique hybrid sound of jazz, blues, and funk to AAJF. The Grammy Award winning band came to life in the 70s and the influences of Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Thelonious Monk run wild with each note the group plays.
Guitarist Nick Colionne has taken home the Wayman Tisdale Humanitarian Award and International Instrumental Artist of the Year. He has also been nominated for Guitarist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year by the American Smooth Jazz Awards.
Flautist Althea Rene's sound is a mix of jazz, pop and even R&B. Her single, “In the Flow” was the first flute-featured #1 single on Billboard Music Chart. She also has multiple singles that reached Billboard's top 20 including: "Gypsy Soul," "My Summer" "Love," "Sunday Cruise," and "Free."
Make this a part of your holiday weekend plans.
