Tet Trung Thu, or the Mid-autumn Festival, is a wonderful festival in Vietnam that celebrates the spirit, innocence, and purity of children. The Festival is held annually on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar Month under the full night moon, which represents fullness and prosperity in life. An important holiday to families in Vietnam, this Festival celebrates three fundamental but interconnected themes: family gathering, thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest, and prayer for future blessings.
So come celebrate Tet Trung Thu this year in a safe and contactless environment! We will be giving away free light up lanterns and other goodies from our sponsors and vendors. There will be an arts and crafts contest/giveaway and live music and performances from VSA.
This will be a drive by event so you can still celebrate culture from the safety of your car.
The address is 16912 North I-35 Service Road Austin, Texas. See you there!
This event is brought to you by the Vietnamese Asian Community At Austin (VACAT)
