Join us for "That's My Face-Black Love Vol. III"! Black History Month at the Carver is full swing, and it's no exception on Black Love Day! Black Love Day is observed annually on February 13. The day was created to demonstrate love, forgiveness, and acceptance among Black people.

To commemorate Black Love Day, (and Galentine's Day!) we will be screening, Waiting to Exhale, the 1995 classic American romance film directed by Forest Whitaker (in his feature film directorial debut) and starring Whitney Houston and Angela Bassett. But wait, there's more! To open up the evening, we will be hosting a soundtrack sing-along to various songs from the film, so warm up those pipes, and revisit the lyrics to songs like, Count on Me, Sittin' up in my Room, and Exhale (Shoop Shoop)!
