    Cine Las Americas launches its first film conference as part of the festival, welcoming filmmakers, enthusiasts, and the general public. The two-day event will take place at the City of Austin PDC Center, Room 1407 (6310 Wilhelmina Delco Dr, Austin, TX 78752) and will feature fireside chats, panels and roundtable discussions spotlighting both emerging and established filmmakers, as well as hands-on workshops. Welcoming accomplished filmmakers, producers, writers and directors like Troublemaker Studios founder and “Spy Kids” franchise producer Elizabeth Avellan and Emmy award-winning Director David Blue Garcia known for “Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” and “Tejano.” The conference will be open to the public and will provide discounted ticket entry to students - for more, see here.
