Coffee Chats feature leaders in the creative community sharing their personal and professional experiences to inspire others pursuing careers in art.
This is a free and virtual event hosted by Big Medium. To receive the Zoom link, RSVP at bigmedium.org/events/almost-real-things.
This week's Coffee Chat features a conversation by Natalie Earhart and Zach Zulch, Co-Founders of Almost Real Things, a free magazine and growing community for creators of all mediums to explore ideas, develop professional skills, connect with other artists and reach a wider audience.
Natalie Earhart is a freelance writer and artist. After graduating from UCSB in 2013 with a degree in Studio Art, she ventured out of her comfort zone to join a more collaborative creative community. In Austin, she found just that, and co-founded Almost Real Things along with Zach.
Zach Zulch is a visual designer and creative director. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2014 and jumped straight into the world of startup branding. He was interested in the question: How can an individual/company with no track record represent themselves professionally to garner respect and authority? Since 2014 Zach has helped many companies and creatives solve this problem through his freelance work and efforts with Almost Real Things. He also functions as ART's event coordinator and in-house DJ.
