The ESB Mexican-American Cultural Center will host its annual Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration on November 1st and November 2nd. Day of the Dead is a time to celebrate those who have passed away. The varying layered traditions associated with holiday, which originated in ancient Mexico, include altar making and imagery of calaveras (skeletons) in reverence for our ancestors and loved ones.
This celebration has been a tradition at the ESB-MACC, and this year we offer a free event livestreamed to your computer, tablet, or phone! The event will be available to watch on www.DayoftheDeadATX.net as well as the MACC Facebook and Youtube. Local artists and the community can participate, making this a collective digital event.
November 1st 7-9pm: Diana Molina Presents Dia de Muertos
