The Mau Mau Chaplains have been performing reggae music together for over twenty years. Ten professional musicians including Alan Moe Monsarrat, Jeremy Carlson, Greg Moreno, Ed Ferguson, Andrew Floyd, Mark Wilson, Tiger Anaya, Micah Segal, Donny Silverman and Tom Leslie make up this talented bunch. These musicians are known for their associations with other stellar acts including Lion Heights, the Contrabandits, Shiny Ribs, Micah Shalom, the Lotions, and Stop The Truck, amongst others.

Their legendary Wednesday night performances at Flamingo Cantina are referred to as "reggae church" by their fans. Original and cover tunes are performed each show which will have the fans on the dancefloor. The first set is live streamed via the Flamingo Cantina's facebook and youtube pages, and the Austin Music TV channel also carries the show. DJ Jah Bill on the ones and twos.
