Margin Walker & Long Center Present Dropkick Murphys and Rancid, "Boston to Berkeley II"
For one night only, Dropkick Murphys and Rancid bring “From Boston to Berkely II” to downtown Austin on the Lawn at the Long Center, featuring special guests Gerry Cinnamon and Jesse Ahern.
From The Rathskeller to the main stages of European festivals, the Dropkick Murphys have spent a large chunk of the last 20 years touring the world. Since their 1996 formation, they’ve sold a staggering 4 million albums worldwide, achieved a host of Billboard hits, and hosted sold out concerts at most of Boston’s landmarks and beyond. On top of their iconic music, they continue to do Beantown proud by working with The Claddagh Fund, the charity foundation they launched in 2009.
Emerging from the blue-collar swamps of Berkley, California, Rancid has now been a living, breathing punk rock band for over a quarter century. apparently, nothing can kill them. Since their first album in 1993, Rancid has remained fiercely independent, never losing their loyalty to community or each other. Their music confronts political and social issues, while balancing personal tales of love, loss, and heartbreak with attitude, carrying on traditions of original punk rock bands and becoming a legend and an inspiration to punk bands that have come after.View Map
