WHAT TO EXPECT:
11:00 AM | MEET-UP | We'll begin the tour at Createscape Coworking, a locally owned and operated co-working space in Austin, Texas designed with the creative professional in mind. When we're not out in the community, Smart Trips Austin works out of Createscape!
11:30 AM | TOUR BEGINS | We'll ride over to Boggy Creek Farm, an East Austin urban farm offering fresh produce, meats, vegetables, and more. Walk around the farm, see the chickens, and check out the market.
12:00 PM | TRAIL RIDE | Don't worry about cars or traffic, we'll ride on the Southern Walnut Creek Trail, one of Austin's best designated paved bike paths. Plus - Smart Trips Ambassadors will lead the way!
12:30 PM | URBAN ROOTS FARM TOUR | Arrive at the farm for delicious food from Tito Adobo and a leisurely farm tour! Urban Roots uses food and farming to transform the lives of young people and to inspire, engage, and nourish the community. It’s the perfect experience whether it’s your first time on the farm or you already know the scoop and just want to enjoy some time with the Urban Roots family.
2:00 PM | TOUR ENDS | We will ride back to Createscape together to end the tour - right back where we started! If you're looking for more open-air fun, head next door to East Austin Succulents to continue the tour on your own!
WHAT TO BRING: Bikes, re-usable water bottle, helmets, closed-toed shoes, and sunscreen! (If you do not have access to a bike, please email info@SmartTripsAustin.org).

Urban Roots cultivates leadership skills through food and farming to transform the lives of young people and inspire, engage, and nourish the community. On its 3.5 acre farm in East Austin, Urban Roots serves teens and young adults through paid internships that focus not just on farming, but also on their growth as leaders and good citizens. They work together with more than 1,000 community volunteers to grow more than 25,000 pounds of fresh food.
Boggy Creek Farm is an urban farm located two miles from downtown offering hyper fresh produce, eggs, dairy, meat & canned goods. Open Wednesday thru Saturday 8AM to 1PM.
