    About

Chef Iliana De La Vega, 2022 James Beard Award-winner and chef-owner of El Naranjo, and her daughter, Chef de Cuisine Ana Torrealba, invite guests to an intimate evening celebrating the vibrant flavors of Baja California. In collaboration with Mexico’s acclaimed Monte Xanic Winery, the special dinner will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at El Naranjo in Austin.

The evening will feature a multi-course menu inspired by the coastal cuisine and sun-soaked terroir of Baja California, thoughtfully paired with selections from Monte Xanic’s portfolio of expressive, award-winning wines. The chefs will showcase their signature blend of Mexican traditions and contemporary technique, highlighting fresh seafood, seasonal produce, and bold regional flavors alongside Monte Xanic’s celebrated vintages.

Founded in the Valle de Guadalupe, Monte Xanic is regarded as one of Mexico’s premier wineries, known for producing high-quality, expressive wines that reflect the unique climate and character of Baja’s wine country.
