In light of the extensive devastation throughout the state of Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Eric Church is postponing shows in Austin on Thursday, Sept. 7 at the Austin360 Amphitheater and in Woodlands, Texas on Friday, Sept. 8 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion; the rescheduled dates are slated for April 28th and April 27th, respectively.
"There is a time and place for everything, and we really feel that now is not the time for us to play in Texas," says Church. "We are regretfully postponing both performances. I look forward to seeing everyone at the rescheduled concerts next year. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all."
To contribute to the ongoing recovery efforts, Church will be designating both rescheduled shows as benefits for those impacted by the storm with ticket proceeds from the concerts going directly to Houston relief charities. Additionally, Church is inviting first responders that have, and continue to, work tirelessly to aid those that have been affected by the storm to be his guests April 27th and 28th. Details on how to obtain tickets will be announced soon.
Current ticket holders that cannot attend the rescheduled April dates will be able to receive a refund for their ticket(s) at the original point of purchase.
