The Red River Cultural District is proud to announce the highly-anticipated return of the local nonprofit’s multi-genre, multi-venue, and admission-free winter music festival, Free Week, to downtown Austin on January 3-4, 2025.
Austinites are encouraged to kick off the new year with two back-to-back nights with free performances from dozens of local music acts. Downtown Austin will once again be transformed into the Red River Cultural District’s Free Week festival footprint showcasing over ten popular live music venues.
Beloved Austin staples such as Stubb’s, Mohawk, Flamingo Cantina, and Empire are all slated to return as participating venues throughout the festival week alongside other key cultural institutions like The 13th Floor, Elysium, Valhalla, Swan Dive, and more.
