    FSG PRESENTS:
    FAMILY TRADITION

Aaron McDonnell - Since quitting his corporate job of 13 years to pursue music full time in 2013, Aaron has released five solo EPs; “Follow” (2014), “Battle Bend” (2015), “Get Gone” (2016), “Lucky Me” (2017), and Austin Signal: Single Mic Sessions (2018). Each exhibits a progression musically and lyrically but also shows the influence of Aaron & Dani’s relocation to Austin, TX. Texas has undoubtedly touched the music and become a source of inspiration while pushing the feel of the songs in a more dance-able and toe-tapping direction.

The Bad Lovers - Since their first show in 2010, the Bad Lovers have emerged as a keystone group in Austin’s historic rock ’n roll scene. Evolving and shifting through the years, the Lovers have explored Texas’ musical landscape and beyond, from garage, boogie, psychedelia, and pop, to Tejano, folk, country, and blues. One consistent element through the years has been their unrestrained, wild performances. “You party too hard!” can be heard chanted by fans at every show, between crowds screaming along to one irresistible hook after another.

Lord Friday the 13th - LORD FRIDAY THE 13TH IS A DOLLAR STORE TRASH-GLAM-PUNK BAND BASED IN AUSTIN, TEXAS. THE BAND IS FRONTED BY BROTHER-SISTER DUO FELIX AND SLOANE LENZ AND WAS FORMED IN EARLY 2019.

The Pinky Rings - Thrashing, fierce, and bristling with razor-sharp hooks, The Pinky Rings’ self-titled debut achieves what mosh pit dreams are made of. Born in 2019 during a house party jam sesh and bonded by skateboard culture, this local five-girl punk act displays fan favorites and compositional chops in 18 minutes.

John Wesley Coleman III - John Wesley Coleman is one of those guys who’s made a ton of supremely catchy rock’n’roll records but never fully caught on outside of his immediate circle. It’s a shame because his new stuff definitely deserves an audience. Whether he’s mournfully singing about playing video games in the basement (“Lizz Hitt Queen of the Midwestern Punk Rock World”) or doing his best Springsteen alongside horns and pedal steel (“The Love That You Own”), he’s bringing his A-game on his new album. -Pitchfork
