Indian Classical Vocal Recital by Dev Rajagopalan Live Music

Join us on 5/5/19 at the Asian American Resource Center for an evening of Indian Classical Vocal Recital by Dev Rajagopalan. Dev is a disciple of globally renowned artist Chitravina N Ravikiran. He has been learning Carnatic music for the last 8 years and has now become a performing artist. He will be accompanied on the Violin by Rishabh, a high school freshman from the Chicago area and on the Mridangam (an Indian percussion instrument) by Karun, a senior from UT Austin majoring in Neuroscience.

Over 60 million people in India are affected by treatable eye conditions, being visual impairment or total blindness. This concert by Dev Rajagopalan is dedicated to address this problem. Sankara Eye Foundation has given Dev and his fellow artists the opportunity to help those who have been affected and lack the necessary resources.

Your participation will be a wonderful way for you to provide encouragement to the young artists and contribute to a great cause at the same time.

Tasty Indian chat and chai will be served immediately following the event.
