It’s Your Move, an exhibition by Laura Sturtz, will be on display at South Side Gallery in the Good Dad Studios Art Complex through October. This is a must-see exhibition for chess fans and players!

Sturtz designs and creates her chess sets utilizing a variety of materials including various metals, ceramic, wood and more. Laura is a strong promoter of peace and believes that all wars should play out on a chessboard. This exhibition will be the largest display of her chess sets shown at any one time. Be prepared for a fascinating and sometimes humorous insight into Laura’s world of chess sets. You can view examples of her chess sets online at https://artist123.com/art-chess-sets/

Laura Sturtz, award winning Austin based visual artist, creates artwork ranging from jewelry to small endangered species sculptures, to public art sculptures. Sturtz, former faculty member at Austin Community College, taught for fourteen years in the Fine Arts Department. She has exhibited in local, statewide, national, and international venues.
