    Bastrop, Texas will host its annual Juneteenth Cultural Festival June 20-21, 2025. Juneteenth is an important holiday in Bastrop. Also known as Freedom Day, Juneteenth celebrates the day 250,000 enslaved Black people were freed in Texas on June 19, 1865. Bastrop is proud to offer one of the biggest Juneteenth celebrations in the state. The festival includes a musical celebration, a parade, a freedom festival, and a street dance hosted by the Bastrop Juneteenth Committee.

    The Bastrop Juneteenth Parade is a vibrant annual event, celebrating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, the parade will begin at 10 a.m. in historic downtown Bastrop, featuring a procession along Main Street with floats, marching bands, dance teams, classic cars, and community groups.
