    Assemblage Contemporary Craftsman Gallery is proud to spotlight “Just for the Halibut” Paintings & Sculptures by John Self on exhibit October 7-October 31, 2022. An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, October 7, 5-8 pm. The reception is FREE, open to the public, refreshments will be served and the artist will be in attendance.

    Join us for a casual conversation with the artist about his work and inspiration. Art Forum is FREE, open to the public and mimosas will be served.

    John Self was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1948. John uses found objects, yard sale finds, and thrift store bargains to create unique, one of a kind sculptures. John Self’s work explores a wide variety of subjects and manifests into delightful assemblages that he calls "garage sale artifacts". Self received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls in 1977. He has lived in Kerrville, Texas since 1991.
