Join this free, family-friendly workshop during National Poetry Month to write love letters to strangers that uplift and connect us all! These letters—written not to people we know, friends, or romantic partners—will become part of an established Little Free Library in South Austin. The inspiration behind the project is to encourage local Little Free Libraries to include writing supplies and a rotation of “take one, leave one” letters alongside the books.
Each workshop in this series has its own unique theme and writing prompts, so you’re welcome to attend as many as you’d like! The session will include warm-up prompts, guided writing time, and the opportunity to select inspiration from a variety of craft papers. We'll close with sharing and reflection. All materials are provided—just bring your creativity and an open heart. No writing experience is necessary!
Facilitated by Sady Sparks, a former Poet Laureate and passionate advocate for building connection through letters.
This project is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
