    Excited to announce that in conjunction with the re-opening of The Mohawk, we are hosting a special Champions League edition of Quesoff on Saturday, May 29th from 5-8pm. The normally annual celebration of all things melted cheese will have a special format for these times – we have invited past champs plus special guests to compete this year.

    Quesoff is honored to benefit the Central Texas Food Bank. Tickets for each hour of Quesoff are now on sale here – 100% of those proceeds will go to the CTFB. Learn more about their mission here. Our chip savior Tacodeli has stepped in and donated chips for all attendees.

    This year, we also have a lead-up Quesoff Challenge ongoing with local restaurants in conjunction with the food bank. Participating restaurants will donate $1 for each queso dish sold in the month of May. The restaurant that contributes the highest amount to CTFB via queso sales will be invited to compete in the Quesoff Champions League. Restaurants may sign up now to participate in the Quesoff Challenge by emailing arw@centraltexasfoodbank.org.

    This year's teams include past winners Better Half, Eldorado Cafe, Cheesus and Austin Facial Hair Club; along with Olamaie, Comedor, La Condesa, JuiceLand, Tacodeli, and Hawk's Hot Chicken (Waco).

    We will have a performance by Mariachi Los Gallos with DJ sets by uLOVEi.

    Our esteemed panel of judges for 2021 is comprised of Stacy Franklin, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Franklin Barbecue, and President, Les Dames d'Escoffier Austin Chapter; Matthew Odam - Restaurant Critic, Austin American-Statesman; and Team Coyöte, Matt Bearden's new show on KLBJ FM, M-F, 3-6pm with his co-hosts Abby Rosenquist and Spencer Williams.
