Small Black Museum: Vol. II opens during SXSW on Thursday, March 16, 2023. The exhibit will feature multimedia work and installations from our residency artists Alexis Hunter, Elizabeth Hudson, and Elisha Luckett and will be on display until July 29. An opening reception will be held on March 16 from 5-8pm in the Carver Museum lobby.

Small Black Museum Residency Project is a three-month residency for three local Black artists to develop new artwork and engage in professional development opportunities. At the conclusion of the residency, each artist will participate at a group show exhibited at the Carver Museum.
