THE 34TH: THE STORY OF MARRIAGE EQUALITY IN IRELAND
To commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Marriage Equality in Ireland
The 34th: The Story of Marriage Equality in Ireland is a documentary film co-directed and produced by Vanessa Gildea and Linda Cullen. The film explores the journey of Marriage Equality in Ireland, from the pivotal Zappone v. Revenue Commissioners case in 2006 to the successful referendum in 2015 that amended the Irish Constitution to allow same-sex marriage. Through interviews with key figures and archival footage, the documentary highlights the dedication and preserverance of those involved in the campaign. The 34th has received critical acclaim, winning several awards including the Austince Award and Spirit of Gaze Award at the Gaze LGBT Film Festival in 2017.

The film runs 1 hour and 18 minutes and will be followed by a community celebration and reception with complimentary food and beverages, including Tito's Handmade Vodka, Milam & Greene Whiskey, Dos Cuernos Tequila, WildGins Co., and wine courtesy of Twin Liquors.
