AUSTIN, TX — STAPLE! The Independent Media Expo announces its 2018 schedule and exhibitor list. The 14th annual expo takes place September 8-9 at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex with over 200 artists and creators. Highlights include a live art show benefit, educational panels and family activities from the Pflugerville Public Library.
The convention takes place over two days with more than 200 vendors showcasing independently made comics, zines, art, crafts and games. Visitors can interact with artists, sit in on tutorials and panels on subjects such as creating webcomics and writing for videogames, and enjoy refreshments from the venue’s full service food court.
Every year, a new guest artist is selected to interpret the show’s mascot, “Staplegator”. This year’s Staplegator, designed by Colleen Coover, highlights the family appeal and additional kid’s activities planned for 2018.
