The Loop Running Supply will launch its Summer Trail Running Series in collaboration with Trail Roots with a kick-off party on Saturday, May 19th. The Summer Trail Running Series is a celebration of community, our amazing running trails, and will give runners an enjoyable, shaded way to train during the summer heat. Along with the expertise and guided runs from Trail Roots, The Loop will release their 2018 summer, special edition apparel collection inspired by the series.
Trail Roots was created by Erik Stanley, avid trail runner, coach, and Race Director of the Texas Switchback Trail Race to support the growing Austin trail-running community. Trail Roots emerged to provide focused and customized training for all levels of runners in Austin in a guided and safe environment. Trail running is perfect for any runner whether it is your main running focus or a simply a break from the road scene.
As part of the Summer Trail Running Series, Trail Roots will join The Loop from June to August on their weekly Thursday evening runs at 6:30pm and will guide four longer trail runs on Saturdays that will be open to the public. The Saturday guided trail runs will happen once a month at various trail head locations with surprise, local sponsors.. The series kicks off on May 19th at 7:30 a.m. with a guided run starting from The Loop and ending at Rowing Dock for a special cool down on the lake. Chameleon Cold-Brew will provide pre-run coffee and light snacks will be provided post-run to fuel runners before water activities. Trail Roots will provide various distances and paces for the run therefore anyone from beginner to advance are encouraged to come.
