On Sunday, April 16, the Austin Traditional Jazz Society will present a concert by Swing Shift. This band has played for ATJS a number of times as La Grosse Tete. The focus has "shifted" from the early 1900s all the way to 1940s and everything in between. Hence the name change, Swing Shift.
Come and see the fun at Ben Hur Shrine Temple at 7811 Rockwood Lane, off Anderson Lane near the MoPac. There is plenty of free parking at Ben Hur. The hall contains a large dance floor. Snacks, beer, wine and sodas are available. Patrons can bring their own food. ATJS concerts are family-friendly.
Guests can enter for $10 and college students with ID and members of the Austin Jazz Society are $5.
