The Mexic-Arte Museum is rescheduling Taste of Mexico once again to Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in order to maintain the safety and well-being of our community. In April we will generate the same energy, and present the great food, music, and overall great experience the whole community can enjoy!
We look forward to seeing you. The rules and procedures will remain the same and we will begin to revamp the event during mid-January 2021. Remember to check our emails and make sure you are following the Museum on all social media platforms as we will follow up with news and updates!
Since 1998, Mexic-Arte Museum’s Taste of Mexico has become one of the leading Mexican-inspired culinary events of the year, with over 1,200 people in attendance in 2019. This culturally conscious event invites guests to generously sample creative cuisines from over 50 of Austin’s most eclectic and exciting restaurants, food trucks, and beverage purveyors providing fine tequilas and mezcales. This year’s Taste of Mexico will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd and will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. There will be music by DJ ULoveI, food demos & lots more!
Proceeds from Taste of Mexico benefit Mexic-Arte Museum’s art education programs, including the nationally recognized Screen It! Program, which introduces youth to basic screen printing techniques and careers in the art field. Screen It! received the 2016 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, a project of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities presented by Honorary Chairman, First Lady Michelle Obama.View Map
