    About

Austin 10K’r invites you to join us for a unique variety of fun running routes that will complement your Cap10K training. The Texas Wildflower Run is a traditional 3 to 5.5-mile route that travels on the Ann & Roy Butler Hike & Bike Trail along Lady Bird Lake. One of the best times of the year to plant wildflower seeds in Texas is late winter before the spring showers. At the event native Texas wildflower seed packets will be provided, and with your assistance we will help Mother Nature get a head start on covering the trail with vibrant spring colors. There a several green spaces along the trail that are sheltered from spring time grass mowing and we will attempt to seed these areas. Enjoy cinnamon rolls, coffee, hot chocolate and other snacks when you finish. The Texas Wildflower Run will start and finish at the Austin American-Statesman.
