June 1 -30, Magnolia Cafe on South Congress is displaying Austinite Laura P. Wright's paintings of Texas native birds and other local wildlife for sale.

Texas boasts more than half the bird species found in the entire United States, and Laura Perkins Wright travels the state to capture them in photographs and paint them at her studio in Austin. From the majestic Great Blue Heron and chatty Cedar Waxwing to the magnificent Caracara, their beauty is captured in acrylics as they court one another, feed their young, forage and fly.
