Our Haunted Halloween programs are doing a COVID upshift this year, offering smaller-scale, family friendly activities with masks and social distancing rules in place to keep everyone safe. Every evening of Pumpkinfest, we will have a schedule of family-friendly events, demonstrations, live music and more. From a new lighted walking tour of our decorated historic sites to an array of spooky ghost tours, pumpkin-carving demonstrations and outdoor movies to Texas yodeling, circus performers, light up DJ’s, a Pioneer Pumpkin Patch, Dia de Los Muertos exhibits, a Ghost Egg Hunt and food, the programs will celebrate the spirit of the Orange Orbs in a uniquely Austin way.
Each night offers different opportunities for safe family fun. Buy a pumpkin and carve it at a socially distanced table. Warm yourselves by our bonfire and celebrate the season, just like in the 1800s. Solve a Halloween-themed mystery at the historic Bell House. Work at our Village Smithy to create a troll cross medallion to protect yourself from evil. Watch as Griffon Ramsey, star HGTV and Food Network’s Outrageous Pumpkins, carves both pumpkins and a giant wooden sculpture. Listen to live music from The Rythmaires, and Man the Rokket, and enjoy delicious food from Wells Branch Barbeque and other vendors. Two nights Saturday, Oct. 24,, and Saturday, Oct. 31, Halloween Night — offer special activities and a higher ticket price.
