The University of Texas and Texas Athletics are thrilled to announce international superstar Pitbull will perform in front of the iconic UT Tower at UT’s SEC Celebration, an all-day party across the University of Texas campus on Sunday, June 30. The event, brought to you in part by Motorola Razr, Still Austin Whiskey and the University’s Extended Campus, is FREE admission and commemorates the Longhorns’ move to the Southeastern Conference, the premier conference in college athletics.

Pitbull’s performance will cap off an action-packed day on the Forty Acres. Beginning at 2 p.m., the SEC Celebration will feature interactive games and activities for the entire family, including signature activations fans will recognize from Texas Football game days such as a Ferris wheel, giant fun slide, Longhorns inflatable games, and more! Among the day’s highlights will be the official SEC Ceremony at the UT Tower at 8:30 p.m., featuring SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, Chairman of The University of Texas System Board of Regents Kevin Eltife, University of Texas President Jay Hartzell, and Del Conte. This ceremony will mark a historic moment as the Longhorns are officially welcomed into the SEC, followed by a spectacular fireworks show from the Tower.

Pitbull’s performance will immediately follow the SEC Ceremony.

In addition to activities at the Tower, Main Mall and 21st Street, fans can experience the Forty Acres with free activities presented by University museums and centers — including the LBJ Presidential Library, Texas Science & Natural History Museum and Blanton Museum of Art — from 1 to 5 p.m.

Parking for the event will be free in designated University of Texas parking garages and surface lots beginning at 11 a.m.
